Emerging Disruptive Technologies (EDT) are revolutionizing the new age machines by impacting nearly every industry and solving some of the world's toughest challenges. Present day disruptive technologies are for example, artificial intelligence (AI), machine vision, LLM, digital tuning, quantum and cloud computing, biotechnologies and human enhancement, GNC, hypersonic systems, space technologies, novel materials, additive manufacturing, micro fuel cell, plasma propulsion, next-generation communications networks, big data analytics, MRO and IVHM. They are enabling the machine's anatomy as well as autonomy like never before.
The Indian Institute for Autonomous Systems (IIASTM) is a young Institute dedicated to creating autonomous systems, robots, unmanned vehicles, and implementing EDT technologies, as well as preparing the related human resources. The Institute has a rich experience in design, development, testing, and teaching state-of-the-art technology, and engaged in development of a few modern autonomous systems. It is bridging the gap between industry and academia by laying the foundations and contributing to growing the Indian autonomous systems industry, human skills, and resources. It is focused on continuously developing and promoting innovative autonomous systems by collaborating with research centres and industries for multidisciplinary research. Today, with incredible support from experts all over the world, IIAS is reaching new heights.
